Dupri cultivated Da Brat's image as a "female Snoop Doggy Dogg," and she became one of the first female "reality-based" rappers.Da Brat's debut album Funkdafied was released in 1994 and entered the rap albums chart at #1.In an interview with Atlanta radio show Dish Nation, Da Brat, who is openly lesbian, said Frost wooed her by writing his name and number on the front and back of 20 0 bills, and asked her to call him.She said she called him the next day, and he eventually bought her a Lincoln Navigator, which was all the rage in those days.
In 2011 she launched a You Tube web series about her experience called "Brat Chronicles: In Transition." She also came out with a single, "Is It Chu?
